Ford KA 1.0 SE

The gearbox is slick and a joy to use. This is a really nice, easy, smooth and comfortable car to drive. Space up front is good, however, and the boot is large for a small car, only being hampered by a large load lip and lack of split-folding bench on entry-level trims. In my opinion the Ka + is underated. The Ka should feature new sportier looking seats that will also recline to allow passengers access to the back seats. Unlike its predecessor, which shared underpinnings with the the third-gen Ka is based on s global B platform, also used by the Available in various markets in South America and Africa since 2015, the supermini is being sold in Europe as well starting 2016.

The center console will feature a 4. There are two engines, one petrol and one diesel, while a wide range of trim levels offers plenty of scope for personalisation -- including some crazy looking stickers. This would make it the cheapest two-door city car on the market and it should manage to do that without sacrificing much in terms of features and comfort. The third engine which will consume diesel will be a 1. This is a good car if you have small children as it has loads of cubby holes which are useful.

Entry models aren't very well equipped as standard, but flagship versions are luxurious. However, at the rear, the normal Ka might get a sportier design. I'd avoid the Studio model as it is a little spartan on kit. This should offer 90, 100 or 110 horsepower, depending on the market it will be sold. This, really, is the one to go for — if anything, for air-con alone. Please note car values can vary significantly with condition, mileage, geography and any optional extras fitted.

The seats, on the other hand, will be different. Throw in decent practicality, refinement, comfort and equipment levels and this is a worthy, pleasant way to spend £10k — or £150 per month. As a second car this car really does make perfect sense. It certainly fulfills a certain brief and is excellent value. Ok it is not as good as a Fiesta but the Ka + is substantially cheaper to purchase.

Instead, the car will come in Europe only with a five-speed manual, the same gearbox that was employed in the 2002 to 2008 Ford Fiesta. It was launched about a year later in the same country in both and body styles. It's spacious inside and makes good use of the available space. However, the Ka+ was initially devised for the South American market, like the — a car initally derided for sloppy handling and a shoddy interior. Have a look at one - you will be pleasantly surprised. We have the 85bhp model which is more than adequate for the use that it is intended for.

The seats are surprisingly comfortable for a car in this class, with good back support. All engines will be mated with a 5-speed manual transmission. Here the two cars should be pretty much identical. Thus created the Ka+, which was introduced in Latin America in late 2015 and it is now being offered in certain markets across the Old Continent. As with larger Fords, MyKey lets owners put restrictions on a specific key. Despite Ford letting unhinged buyers splash £745 on the pictured bronze paint, and the fact that a sunflower-yellow hue is standard, this machine appeals to the head — not the heart. The smaller Vauxhall Viva, Peugeot 108 and Skoda Citigo all cost fractionally more each month, though just £3 more could get you into an — admittedly more basic — Skoda Fabia.

This engine will have a top speed of 99mph and will accelerate form 0-60 mph in around 13 seconds. The engine puts up with the punishment, though, even emitting a vaguely sporty note in the process. What makes it stand out are the added convenience features, the two front airbags, and a retuned chassis for European roads. The new Ka+ starts at roughly 9,500 euros which is about 1,500 less than the equivalent. Refinement is similarly impressive, but because peak power is cranked out at 6300rpm, you do have to work the little engine to its fullest to get near the claimed performance figures. It shared a lot of its underpinnings with the massively popular Fiat 500, in an effort to keep costs down, and although that baby Cinquecento was no great shakes as a driver's tool no one can doubt its success as an agile and pretty city car. The , however, is not one of these cars.
